Michaela Mersch

Orthopaedic and Pelvic Physiotherapist

Michaela is a physiotherapist that loves helping people feel strong, supported, and confident in their bodies. She gained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in 2014, and spent several years in Toronto as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and Nike Running Pacer. Her love for movement and helping others led her to complete a Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland in Australia in 2018, where she also co-authored a published study on concussions. Since graduating school and becoming a registered physiotherapist, she has completed additional certifications in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture at McMaster University, pelvic physiotherapy, vestibular rehab, and pilates based rehab.

Michaela’s career has taken her from hospital-based care at Bridgepoint Hospital, working with individuals recovering from complex neurological conditions, orthopaedic injuries, surgeries, and strokes, to private practice, where she continues to support a wide range of clients.

After becoming a mom of two, Michaela developed a passion for working with women during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through a trauma informed lens. Through both personal and professional experience, she understands the unique challenges of these stages and is committed to filling the gap in care with compassion, evidence-based treatment, and a whole-person approach.

Michaela believes that everyone deserves to feel heard and cared for, and she loves creating a welcoming space where people can work toward their goals. Whether it’s recovering from injury, returning to sport, or navigating the journey of motherhood, Michaela has your back.

Mackenzie Holden

Orthopaedic Physiotherapist

Mackenzie is a physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies, build strength, and move with confidence in their everyday lives. She completed her undergraduate degree in Health Studies at Queen’s University before earning her Master of Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2020. Her clinical work is grounded in a strong foundation of movement science, exercise-based rehabilitation, and practical, real-world application.

Alongside her physiotherapy training, Mackenzie has spent years immersed in the fitness world as a multisport athlete, competitive dancer, and HIIT Pilates instructor. Movement is a big part of her own life, and she draws on that experience to help clients build strength, confidence, and consistency with exercise in a way that feels realistic and sustainable. Her background in running and cycling also helps her connect with people working toward return-to-sport or performance goals.

Mackenzie’s treatment style is hands-on, active, and collaborative. She focuses on meaningful exercise-based rehab, education, and helping people understand their bodies so they feel more confident moving day to day.

She works with a wide range of clients, from those recovering from injury to people wanting to stay active, prevent issues, or improve performance. She also has a special interest in postpartum care, including diastasis recti rehab and supporting new moms as they return to exercise in a safe and empowering way.

At the heart of her approach is the belief that rehab should feel encouraging, not intimidating. Mackenzie aims to create a welcoming space where people feel heard, supported, and capable, and where progress is built step by step toward what matters most to them.
